The Cincinnati Bengals add coach Doug Rosfeld as "Assistant to the Head Coach" on the staff. Previously held by Hue Jackson (so not much to build on) this position will involve a largely administrative workload so that coach Taylor can focus on football. Rosfeld did his playing time at the University of Cincinnati as well, so that is a plus.
Doug Rosfeld is a Moeller graduate as well as coach. He was on the Moeller coaching staff from 2004-2014 taking a hiatus to serve as Head of Player Development for the University of Cincinnati. During his tenure at Moeller he walked away with two State Championships so there is an impressive resume bullet point. Now I played against his Moeller teams from 2005-2008 as a high school kid and they were legitimate football teams. I remember beating them at least one of those seasons but others they were clearly a force to be reckoned with.
The Bengals have had more than there share in dealing with Moeller graduates. Players like Sam Hubbard are graduates of the locally famous high school. There is something to be said about a school that can turn out this much talent.

There is something to be said about bringing on a local guy. It adds a certain hometown team feeling to the staff. Any time you can bring in a coach that is familiar with the area, has a great history here it will assist his legitimacy with the players. We look forward to Coach Taylor having Rosfeld by his side so that he can ensure the team is fit to fight.
