Erickson The Quick

During the draft one of our star returners drew some interest from other teams around the league. Alex Erickson made a splash with his entrance to the league in 2016 with his ability to return the ball and nab us great field position. He is a solid slot receiver with great hands. Alex was an undrafted free agent who landed a Bengals roster spot and has made his mark also earning him a place in our wide receiver corps. He has made a few returns that lit the entire damn stadium on fire...I was there for a few of them.

Erickson may not be the flashy guy torching the shit out of DBs but is he worth trading away for a late round pick or some shitty player? Probably not. Now that the draft is over, interest from other teams has waned but we will hopefully utilize this deceptively talented wide-out and returner as a lethal weapon this year. In 2017 he had 278 return yards and 2018 he got to 212. We say keep throwing his quick little ass back there to run the ball back up the sideline. His returns can be a game changer as far as field position for Andy and the offense to hopefully smash the ball into the end zone.

Erickson is entering the first year of his two-year extension he signed last season, and it appears he isn’t leaving Cincinnati before that deal is up.
