The Colmbus Blue Jackets have fallen in the second round of the playoffs to the Boston Bruins. The series was not without controversy being filled with cheap shots, no-calls and close goals.
Columbus looked to steal the momentum in games three and four playing like a complete team ready to fight for the cup. Games five and six however it all fell apart.
A few players ultimately seemed to just not show up in the final games. Cam Atkinson who was a scoring freak during the season was nowhere to be seen as far as scoring. That being said Bobvrosky was an absolute brick wall in the cage throughout the series.
In the end Boston’s defense ate them alive when we attempted to get the puck into the zone. It was like we didn’t even belong on the ice on that end, simply outplayed. They finished out the season at 47-31 with a first round 2019 Stanley Cup Playoff series win. Hell of a season that we only hope our boys in Cincy can emulate!
