"He fukin Kirked it"...This is a phrase common around the 4TH & CINCY watering hole. It can be used for any manner of things. Say you toss your buddy a beer and he drops it.. That's Kirking it. It essentially describes just plain old screwing something up. This has been adopted from Dre Kirkpatrick's style of play. A general liability at cornerback, especially when you need a big play.
He is good for a tackle or two a game when you least expect it but that's about it. More often than not you see a DB get burnt, miss who it was and then the camera pans back giving you a full view of Kirk. I cannot tell you how many clickers (yes clickers not remotes) and beers have made direct contact with walls in the 4TH & CINCY household after witnessing a shit play by this guy. I would like to say I have the answer after doing all of this bitching but beyond cutting and replacing I don't see a solution.
It used to be that you could at least call him serviceable but these days he just continues to embarrass the organization. Now he isn't collecting hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines and pulling fingers at the bottom of piles but if you look up the definition of "torched" in the dictionary its a picture of (insert receiver) blowing by him while he tries to pop his ankles back into place. Trade him, dump him I don't care.. but we already have enough trouble on our defense to keep watching this guy get left in the dust every game.
