Trent Richardson’s Redemption Tour

Alabama has turned out a plethora of solid football players over the years. From linebackers to quarterbacks it’s a fair statement to say they are a football player farm. One player in particular is getting in the spotlight as of late seeking a second chance at stardom.

Trent Richardson is on his redemption tour in the AAF, which we recap weekly. I have to say he looks pretty badass in the raideresque black uniform of the Birmingham Iron.

We all remember Trent in his Alabama days and we definitely remember his... well attempt at the NFL. There was Cleveland (who drafted him in 2012), then Indy, Oakland and then Baltimore.. and then he hit a low point and had to go north to the Saskatchewan Rough Riders. The Rough Riders let him go in 2018.

He now graces Alabama one more time and has played quite well. He drove the ball in 3 times tonight against the Atlanta Legends...who suck but still. Richardson has five touchdowns in three games and is always there to make a great play when it’s needed most. He leads the league in broken tackles having over 15 in three games.

Who knows if if this will be his ticket back to the NFL or he will go down as an AAF legend, all we know for now is that he is very entertaining to watch. It’s like he is a wrecking ball when the teams down in enemy territory. Almost predictable that he will be getting the rock to just make the defense his beyatch on his journey to the endzone.

We initially though the Memphis Express were going to be our team here at 4th & Cincy but we have officially landed on #33 and the Iron as our AAF team. We will continue to cover the entire league though but hell, why not go all in on a team. it would be out of character if we didn’t. We we shall see how Trent handles the season!
