Well ladies and gentlemen Andy has a new talent competing to be his backup. Ryan Finley our of North Carolina State will dawn the stripes next year In Cincinnati as we pick him up in the forth round.
The 6’4” near 215lb quarterback started at NC State for three years having also played a year on Baylor‘s roster. He is tall big and a little quick running a 4.7 40 yard dash. Finley has average arm strength as of now and won’t be throwing up prayers next year but with some NFL caliber strength and condition coaches who knows how strong he can get.
He has been criticized for making 1-2 just stupid decisions a game by experts but hell, he isn’t coming to start for us so we can tweak that stuff if it’s true.
Ryan was the only quarterback that visited and worked out with the Cincinnati Bengals so he was in their crosshairs. This was proven even further when we traded up to draft him. Look, it’s neat. We grabbed a QB. In no way shape or form will he unseat Andy from his throne. it will however be awesome to have a guy behind him learning the ropes as The Red Rifle ages in his NFL career. Exciting time to be a Bengals fan. Welcome to the team Ryan!
