Hold the Line!

Kansas State's Dalton Risner in the process of whooping ass

We all know that the O-Line is a massive issue for the team right now. With the loss of greats such as grizzled veteran Andrew Whitworth we have just flat out struggled. Mixon has done his best to find hole to break through and Andy is hanging in there trying to fling the pigskin to our boys down field but to be honest our line play has just been bullshit.

With Andy being put on his ass 21 times last season and Driskel hitting the dirt another 16 we need to do something. We have to either look at signing a couple of free agents or hit the draft board and really think. Well I am here to say that it appears we have started to do the latter. It is reported that they visited Kansas State's Pro day specifically to look at offensive tackle Dalton Risner.

The 6" 5' 309lb lineman would be a great fit to our current disaster of a situation. He was a stud at the Senior Bowl last year and turned in a solid performance at the combine. The Bengals will be looking for an offensive tackle of Risner’s caliber early in the draft. The four-year starter played all over the Wildcats’ offensive line and is projected to be a late-first or early-second round pick by the time late April arrives. We shall see how the Men in stripes handle the O-Line debacle come draft day. WHODEY
